Former state Speaker of the House Austin Knudsen, a Republican from Culbertson, announced Monday he’s running in the 2020 election to be attorney general.
The position is open as Attorney General Tim Fox, a Republican, is termed out from running for re-election and launched a bid for governor earlier this year.
Knudsen made the announcement in a Facebook post Monday morning.
He is the Roosevelt County attorney, a job he ran for after being termed out of the state House, where he spent four sessions.
